Vintage Snowball Quilt Dated May 1949
This is a genuine vintage, handmade quilt.
It is made of 100% cotton. There have been lots of vintage feed sacks used in this piece.
It is set off by a soft and buttery yellow border.
The perfect transition piece for summer into autumn.
The quilt is in perfect condition.
It measures 54.5” x 82”
A stitched date appears in one corner ‘May 1949’
It has been hand quilted in tiny, careful stitches.
A stunnin piece for a collector or for display.
Your quilt ships free (US only) the next business day via USPS Ground Advantage.
USPS estimates a 2-5 business day arrival.
I suggest washing on delicate, or handwashing.
If handwashing- squeeze, do not wring water out as this can break delicate stitches.
Line/air dry when most of the water has dried (heaviness can break stiches)
If you will be storing or displaying it folded, I suggest refolding in a diferent direction periodically to prevent fabric damage.
Fresh air and sunshine is good for vintage fabrics, but prolong sun exposure (even indoors) can result in fading and fabric damage.
Because this is a handmade quilt, it is a one-of-a-kind and will never be reproduced.
