Antique Farmhouse Jacket No 001

$449.00
Limit 1 per order

This is a handmade jacket that I created from antique sacks.

This particular jacket features General Mills Egg Mash on the backside, and Sunny Cane sugar sacks for the front and the arms.

Check out the typography on the left front an arm- an advertising typgography to keep commerce in the USA- it says “ Help Protect Home Industry, BUY cane sugar refined in the U.S.A.”

A great piece of Americana made with tough, heritage textiles that will likely live long enough to be passed down for generations yet to come.

Since these were light sacks, the jacket has been lined with antique linen and lightweight ticking.

The pockets are also lined with ticking.

Beside the buttons, every piece of cloth on this jacket is an authentic antique.

The jacket is sturdy, yet lightweight. It’s structured, yet has some soft drape.

The perfect piece for layering, or wear on it’s own.

Meausures 28” long- just enought to cover the backside

Shoulders are 19.5” wide

Pit-to-pit 25” inside (would fit a 50” bust

Hip/swing 48”

Two oversized kangaroo style pockets and 6 brass snap closures.

I would advise hand washing, spot washing, or washing on a gentle cycle and drying on low. While these are industrial textiles, they are also antique. Gentle cleaning is the best way to preserve the fabric.

Time outside in the fresh aire and sunshine is a great way to freshen it up.

Your jacket ships free (US only) the next business day via USPS Ground Advantage.

USPS estimates arrival in 2-5 business days.

Becuase this piece is handmade, it is completely unique- there will never be another one exactly like it. The patina from the bags is original, and I think adds charm and authenticity to this piece.

This is sure to become your favorite piece!
